Direct Billing to Your Insurance
The Patient's Responsibilities
There are more than 30,000 dental plan contracts in Ontario, and each one is a little different from the next. As a smart consumer, you should make it your job to understand the details of your dental plan, and to supply your dental plan administrator with necessary information such as pre-treatment forms, claim forms or any supplementary information. You are also responsible for making arrangements for payment to your dentist for the dental care received.
As your dentists, in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act and applicable regulations, we will give you information on available treatment options appropriate to address your dental care needs, regardless of the nature and extent of your dental plan coverage. In addition, we will assist you by supplying information required to enable you to receive benefits to which you may be entitled under your dental plan.
How Our Office Works
At Scottsdale Dental Centre, we will instantaneously electronically submit your claim to your dental insurance comapny.
You have two options for reimbursement:
Option A - Non-Assignment of Benefits
We prefer simplicity of process at our office. So when you finish your appointment, you pay us, and we submit your claim. Then in a couple of business days, your insurance company reimburses you!
Bonus! Use your credit cards to earn rewards points. After all, you get your money back from the insurance company in a couple of days anyway.
1. You finish your appointment and the fee is $100.
2. You pay us $100 and we submit your claim to your insurance company instantly electronically (so you don’t have to do it) .
3. If your insurance company pays 90%, then in a couple of business days, you get your $90 back.
4. If your insurance company pays 100%, then in a couple of business days, you will get your entire $100 back and you won’t be out of pocket anything!
Option B - Assignment of Benefits
